Life on the Honeycomb

Who is at home?

The Queen

There is only one, she’s special and the subject of much desire. She’s big, beautiful and highly productive. When she is really busy she will lay up to 3000 eggs a day.

She’s well cared for and lives a long time - occasionally reaching the ripe old age of six – that is as long as she doesn’t meet another queen – they never get on!
