The Drones

These chaps spend most of the day lazing around thinking about food and fornication. The food they expect to be handed on a plate, the other they know that they will have to work for!

Only the fittest drone will catch the queen, so nipping out of the hive for the occasional training flight at altitude is a necessary part of keeping in trim should queeny be in the mood.

When she is ready to mate she leaves the hive and flies high and fast. As the lucky drone completes his mission he literally explodes with excitement and starts his journey to bee heaven!
